This is the second Hackathon of the year, and following the success of Feliz Navi:Hack in Birmingham in January the School of Code team has been busy planning CodeFest alongside our partners - Technology from Sage 😍.

The Agenda

Friday 16th August

9:00 Start - Please make sure you're at the venue ready to go for 9:00!

9:05 - Opening Ceremony, where you'll be put into your teams for the day, and meet your mentors.

9:30 - The Hackathon starts!

13:30 - Lunch 🥯(Provided by SOC - let us know about any dietary requirements if you haven't already)

18:00 - Submission Deadline

18:30 - Live Pitches & Judging

19:00 - Finish

What to expect

Leveraging the skills and knowledge you've acquired from the School of Code, you'll join small teams to tackle exciting challenges. Each team will have a dedicated mentor to guide you and answer any questions throughout the day. Enjoy the creative freedom to innovate and have fun! Plus, with School of Code hiring partners dropping by, it's a fantastic opportunity to showcase why School of Code boot campers are exceptional! 🙌

About the challenges

Working in teams of 3, you'll come up with solutions to the following challenges:

1/ Education 📖 - Given the setting and your hands-on bootcamp experience, we'd like you to create innovative solutions that enhance the educational experience for students and educators. Your application will revolutionise how resources are accessed and utilised, making learning more efficient and engaging for everyone involved.

2/ Empowering Future Careers 🦾 - You are tasked by Joe Trodden with enhancing an AI-powered platform designed to help young people discover and pursue career opportunities in the low-carbon sector (further details provided on the day).

You have creative freedom - work with your mentors to develop ideas, then use your SOC knowledge to build demos to show at the end of the day.
