It's time to unlock your creative cheat codes! We're challenging you to build something that captures the essence of SEGA's legendary vibe – the company that gave us Sonic's attitude, Jet Set Radio's style, and Phantasy Star's innovation.
Create literally anything digital that draws inspiration from SEGA's universe. No cap on your creativity. We're talking:
Build Different: A web app that uses the Steam API to visualize SEGA games in ways that hit different
Retro Reimagined: A browser game that takes a SEGA classic and flips it with your own aesthetic
Sonic Speed Data: An interactive visualization that makes SEGA gaming stats look absolutely fire
Virtual Time Capsule: A digital experience that lets users explore SEGA's evolution through the decades
Character Multiverse: An AI tool that drops classic SEGA characters into new worlds or art styles
Beats & Vibes: A music generator or visualizer inspired by iconic SEGA game soundtracks
Peak Nostalgia: A social media filter that transforms users into SEGA characters
Chaotic Energy: Something completely unexpected that makes us go "SEGA would absolutely drop this in 1993"
Your project can be as polished or as chaotically creative as you want. The only requirement? It needs to connect to SEGA's universe somehow – whether that's through aesthetics, gameplay mechanics, music vibes, storytelling, or just the chaotic energy that made SEGA iconic.
This is your chance to create something that would make both 90s SEGA fans and today's gaming community hit that share button. We want to see projects that are simultaneously nostalgic and forward-thinking – the perfect blend of "how it started" and "how it's going."
Ready to build something legendary? Grab your team, channel your inner Sonic attitude, and let's see what you can create in a week. No pressure, but SEGA literally had a marketing slogan "SEGA Does What Nintendon't" – so show us what YOU can do that nobody else can!
